A communications strategy for Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust’s flagship site, Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve.
Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust
In early 2012, we worked with Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust to develop a full communications strategy for their flagship site: Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve, near Machynlleth, Wales.
Part of a much larger funding bid to completely transform the site into a major natural visitor attraction, the communications strategy needed to engage people with the wider nature offer, identify the unique selling points, help it compete in a busy attraction market and all the while stay true to the vision of the new site.
We carried out desk research, workshop sessions and one to one interviews. The result was a comprehensive strategy, with brand and PR elements integrated, which centres around making the most of existing outlets, brokering new relationships for shared marketing and presenting a 'year round' offer.
